Read Matthew 6:25-34.
How practical are verses 25-27? Do we really need to worry about income, food, shelter and clothing? As the scripture suggests, will these not be automatically provided for us? Can you relate to verse 34 - do you worry about tomorrow?

Read Philippians 4:12,13.
Have we learned to be content in any and every situation?

The story mentions three key things in the gift of freedom - money, needs and freedom itself. What does the Bible have to say about such matters?

MONEY

Read Luke 11:46.
As it says in the story we can become seriously burdened by overreaching financially. How do you feel about the promotion of instant credit? Read also Proverbs 22:27.

Read Acts 8:18-23.
Many people believe that they can buy happiness and contentment with money. How do you see the relationship?

Read 1 Timothy 6:3-10.
How well do we understand the relationship between evil and money?

NEEDS

Read Matthew 25:31-46.
Recognize the needs of others.

Read Philippians 4:14-19.
Do you believe that those that give will also receive? What personal experiences do you have?

FREEDOM

Read 1 Corinthians 8:9,10.
Look at these verses as being an example to others. How could this apply?

Read 2 Corinthians 3:12-18.
How do you see the application of verse 17 in the world's trouble spots? Is this 'freedom in the Spirit' different from personal freedom?

Read Galatians 2:1-5.
Can you explain your 'freedom in Christ Jesus'?

Read Galatians 5:1-26 (key verse 1).
Freedom from what? Sin? Can you describe modern day slavery?' Could it be money?

Read James 1:22-25.
Read these verses in conjunction with 2:14-17.

Read 2 Peter 2:17-21 (key verse 19b).
These verses are talking about false teachers. How do we recognize them?
