Where to Find Us
You'll find the church on Davey Street, on the right hand side as you leave the city heading towards South Hobart and just before the Southern Outlet exit lights. It is well sign-posted. Street parking only is available.
Services
We have traditional and contemporary style worship services. The first and third Sundays are contemporary music services with the band. The other Sundays are traditional hymnal services with the organ.

Who
We Are
The
congregation of St Peter's is a close-knit and friendly community, made up of both young and old. We enjoy regular worship and fellowship. We are
a member of the Lutheran Church of Australia and acknowledge the Holy
Bible to be the true Word of God.
We
are involved in various outreach programmes and mission support. We enjoy
regular fellowship and spiritual growth activities such as Bible Studies, Choir,
Band, Prayer Group, Morning Praise Worship, Breakfast Meetings and other fun events such as quiz nights and craft mornings, dinners and
a Church concert, usually held every two years.
On Easter Sunday we hold a dawn music service in the observatory on the top of Mt
Wellington, where the sun rises during the Service.
Prayer
Breakfast is held each month at the Church, and in December we meet at
the Springs on Mt Wellington.
What We Believe
Lutherans
believe in one true God
Lutherans
share the belief of all other Christians that the one true God has made
himself known as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Lutherans believe that God loves all people.
Lutherans believe that God loves every human being, even though none of
us deserve his love.
Lutherans
believe in Jesus Christ
Jesus
Christ is God's Son. Because he loves the world, God sent his Son Jesus
to make things right between God and us. Jesus took the blame for the
sins of all people. Jesus died for everybody. Jesus also broke the power
of death by becoming alive again.
Lutherans believe God's forgiveness is a free gift
Because of Jesus, God has forgiven all sins of all people. God offers his forgiveness
to everyone as a free gift. We don't have to earn God's forgiveness or
pay for it. It is ours when we believe in Jesus as our Saviour. God offers
us his forgiveness in the good news about Jesus, and in baptism and holy
communion.
Lutherans
believe what the Bible says
The
Bible is the word of God. Lutherans accept the Bible as the authority
that decides what they are to believe and how they should live. Lutherans
believe that the good news about Jesus is the key to the whole Bible.
