There are many Christian teachers in the martial arts, but the presence of a Christian teacher does not mean they are teaching Christian martial arts. Christian martial arts are taught by Christian teachers for the purpose of evangelism and discipleship. They reach out to people with the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ, and they seek to build the skills and disciplines necessary to develop strong leaders and servants at home, in church, and in their communities. We believe that God holds all teachers to a high standard.

As teachers we reject the 'Master & Student' relationship that is common in Asian martial arts. Furthermore, we accept only one master, Jesus Christ. We believe that teachers exist to serve the needs of their students. Although we honor teachers and others who make sacrifice serving others, we reject any hierarchy that places greater importance on teachers and older students than on those who are new to study and training. Matthew 20:25-28, Matthew 23:1-12, 1 Peter 5:1-4

As teachers we must consistently demonstrate our integrity as Christian men and women of God. We recognize the tremendous influence we have to impact the thinking and actions of those we teach, and the grave responsibility to lead those we teach in truth. 1 Timothy 3:1-13, 1 Peter 6:11-16

As teachers we must commit ourselves to live above reproach, continually seeking out our Lord in prayer, in the word, and in our actions. We recognize that we are held to a high standard by our students, by our fellow Christians, and by the community at large. Our behavior is on display for all to see, and our lifestyle must be a godly model that others will want to follow. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-24, 2 Corinthians 3:2-3

As teachers we must arm ourselves with the truth of God's word through our commitment to reading and studying the scripture, so that we will be able to identify truth and expose error. We place greater value in growing in grace and truth than on our growth as martial artists. 1 Timothy1:3-7, 2 Timothy 2:15
