Transformation in Vanuatu

Pastor Harry Tura is the pastor of Bombua Apostolic Church in Luganville, the main town on Santo Island, Vanuatu .  The island was named Espiritu Santo because tt is the island where 400 years ago in May 1606 Ferdinand de Quiros named the lands from there to the South Pole the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit.  Pastor Tura leads Transformation Seminars with prayer for healing of the land.

I wish to indicate to you what God is doing now in Vanuatu [formerly New Hebrides] these days as answers to your prayers, and ask that you continue to pray for us.

I went to Litzlitz village community on the island of Malekula on Sunday 4 June, 2006, and the Transformation activities started on the same day.  The study activities and the process of healing the land closed on the following Sunday 11 June.  The presence of the Lord was so real and manifested and many miracles were seen such a people healed, dried brooks turned to running streams of water, fish and other sea creatures came back to the sea shores in great number and even the garden crops came alive again and produced great harvests.

On Tuesday 20 June I flew to Ambae Island to join the important celebration of the Apostolic Church Inauguration Day, 22 June.  After the celebration I held a one-week Transformation studies and activities of healing the land at Vilakalak village community.  It began on Sunday 25 June and closed on Saturday 1 July 2006.  A lot of things hd been transformed such as people's lives had been changed as they accepted Christ and were filled with the Holy Spirit for effective ministries of the Gospel of Christ.  The Shekinah glory came down to the very spot where we did the process of healing the land during the night of 1 July.  That great light (Shekinah glory) came down.  People described it as a living person with tremendous and powerful light shining over the whole of the village community, confirming the Lord's presence at that specific village community area.  On the following day people started to testify that a lot of fish and shell fish were beginning to occupy the reefs and they felt a different touch of a changed atmosphere in the village community.  I flew back to Santo after the healing of the lands on Tuesday 4 July, 2006.

The lands and garden crops then started to produce for great harvests and coconut crabs and island crabs came back in great abundance for people's daily meals these days.  The people were very surprised at the look of the big sizes of coconut crabs harvested in that area.  I went there a month later to see it.  You can't believe it that the two big claws or arms were like my wrist when I compared them with my left wrist.  That proved that the God we serve is so real and He is the owner of all the creatures.

We started the Transformation studies and activities at my church beginning on Monday 17 July and closed on Sunday 23 July 2006.  After the Transformation studies and activities had completed, we did the final process of healing the land on Sunday 23 July.  As usual the Shekinah glory of the Lord's presence appeared to following night of Monday 24 July 2006.  The people were amazed at the scene.  That confirmed that God is at work at that specific area.  A lot of changes are taking place at our church base and its environment - he land, the sea, and the atmosphere above us.  People experience the same blessings as the others had been through,

On Sunday 13 August 2006, I took a flight to West Ambae again because the Walaha village community had requested me to carry out the Transformation studies and activities and healing of the lands at their area.  The Transformation studies started on Monday 14 August 2006.  Again the presence of the Lord came down (Shekinah glory) on the whole village community early on Wednesday night and they all witnessed the scene the following day.  They wee very excited and began praising God all over the place. I took  flight back to Santo on Tuesday 22 August 2005.

The revival is now taking place at that particular community and lives are totally changed and people turned out to be experiencing a mighty difference of atmosphere and have been transformed to people of praise and worship.  All sorts of fish are coming back to the reef and garden crops came green and are now beginning to produce a great abundance of harvest at the end of this year by the look of it now.  This is all the hand of the Lord who does the work which is based on the transformation key verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14, which reads: "If my people who are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and heal their land."

On Saturday 2 September, our Bombua Youth Ministry and I travelled on a hired vehicle with four Australian friends to four outreach areas in the eastern area of Santo Island such as Namatal Church , Lovakar Church , Lokenok Church and Lolle Church .  We held short worship services and prayed over sick people.  A lot of people were healed and testified of the wonderful works of healing in their bodies and also spiritual healing in their lives.  On Sunday 3 September we used that same hired vehicle to visit Mavunlevu Church and prayed with sick people after a normal worship at our church base.  We prayed over sick people and shared time with people and children's singing and light refreshments.  We returned to Luganville (the main town and home base on Santo Island ) at l0 pm.

On Monday 4 September we travelled to Tutuba Island by boat to visit Vatubuma Church to pray over sick people.  We came back after midday to the mainland and went to Hogharta.  We stayed there till Wednesday and the Bombua Youth returned to Luganville again.  On Friday night we held a farewell worship service and the next day the visiting team flew back to Australia .

On Sunday 24 September the Vanuatu National Transformation Seminars began in Luganville, Santo.  Church leaders from different denominations attended the one-week seminar.  The Transformation Seminar closed on Saturday 30 September.

On Monday 2 October 2006, I took a flight to Ambae again to hold Transformation studies and healing of the lands there at Tafala village community.  They requested me to go there.  The studies started on Monday night and we closed on Sunday 8 October 2006.  The village community at Tafala experienced great blessings just as in the other village communities.

I was then asked to go to my own village at Nataluha community to carry out Transformation studies and healing of the lands there.  The studies started on Monday 9 October 2006 and closed on Friday 13 October.  On Friday, at the process of healing the land during the mixing of the elements and reading of the chief's public repentance and reconciliation and then reading the declaration on inviting the presence of the Lord into the village community, God came in by a strong earthquake and shook the whole village community to confirm that God was at work at the process of healing the land.  Everybody testified of the great happenings.  All the defiled lands were healed on that day.  Praise the name of the Lord.

I had to fly back to Santo again on Saturday 14 October to meet our Member of Parliament the following Sunday to welcome him to our church.
