A good excuse to throw in my contribution on films. I'm undoubtedly
not the first to comment on the film "Babette's Feast". Made several
years ago, and appears on TV from time to time. Mixture of Danish
and French, with English subtitles, and almost entirely set in a tiny
18th century Danish village. On that basis it sounds about as
exciting as watching the grass grow. In fact - I'd rate it the best
film I've ever seen, and I never tire of re-watching it. It speaks
to me of the lavishness of God's love and grace towards people
(especially Christians) who consistently limit his graciousness and
generosity, and fail even to recognise it. Every time I watch it I
learn something about grace I'd never seen before.

This too would make great viewing for a bible study etc. Also simply
a great spiritual "tonic" for any believer to imbibe frequently!

Cheers!
Lance
