Although I'm not of the Charismatic tradition nor in his denomination, I can tell you after attending many of John Maxwell's seminars that you are seeminly taking him out of context in your seemingly shoot your fellow Christian while they are down story today. His contemplative disciplined prayer warrior side is also there. He stops covering material during seminars which I wanted him to finish because he felt on more than one occasion that the whole conference needed an extended time of prayer. I don't go for the Peale,Schuller, mentality either because they seem too man centered to me , but Maxwell doesn't just throw in Bible verses he believes them and applies them to his life- they aren't just window dressing. I at least wonder how much research you did about Maxwell's private spiritual life first before you sent out your words about his contemplative life with the Lord? Is it possible you are being divisive and helping the enemy? I wish you could have heard Maxwell not just talk about prayer but actually be at his conferences where he emphasizes it and prays through the Psalms and other passages. He actually has people make appointments to pray with him. He also is not based in California but Atlanta , Georgia.It seems like truth and facts may need some work. This letter may be sent to you out of love rather dislike or hate for you. There are things I don't like about him but his lack of prayer is not one of them. Gudday! A very exciting vision was commenced last year called Youth Arise 2000. It is a call to all young people to gather on the last Friday night of each month for prayer asking God for a spiritual awakening and revival. This will culminate on Friday night December 31 when we will dedicate the new millenium to God. Groups have been forming all over Australia and in the South Pacific to pray. (His people).The word "and" implies ADDING together of two separate items. Jacob (Israel) had 12 children living in his HOUSE when they were kids. Why does everyone only recognize JUDAH (the Jews) today as all of ISRAEL? The Bible states clearly that although they were the lost ten, they would be FOUND and returned to grow grapes in Samaria, their own land. The Jews are returning now, yes, but they are one family and do not include Joseph's descendants (Ephraim and Manasseh.) LOOK AT YOUR MAP !! In Ezekiel 37:15 God makes this point emphatically clear when He says "Take a stick and write on it "For Judah and his peoples" and then another stick and write "Joseph (The stick of Ephraim)" and all the house of Israel associated with him, and join them together into one stick in your hand. The LORD GOD goes on to say that this "joining of the two sticks" would MAKE IT PERFECTLY CLEAR that the two separate "HOUSE OF ISRAEL" and HOUSE OF JUDAH" are to be joined again in their own land under one king (JESUS) AND NO LONGER DIVIDED INTO TWO KINGDOMS !! I can elaborate further later if anyone wants, but there is plenty of proof that they are the British Commonwealth nations and Americans of today. In Gen. 48:17 it states that Manasseh would be a great nation and Ephraim a great Company of nations (RSV)to become a MULTITUDE. There has never been a company of separate nations in all history except the British COMMONWEALTH (Company) of Nations. And the U.S. has grown to become the greatest single nation in all history. WHY ?? God said His people would eventually number on the earth as the sands of the seashore and the stars of heaven. This cannot be said of the few Jews of today, who are called a minority in the world. For now I will just cover the most obvious evidence. We all know of the "B'nai B'rith", the organization formed by Jews in NY for the betterment of Jews and other minorities. It is Hebrew and comes from "benai" (sons of) and berith (the covenant). Did you know this same berith or B'rith is the first part of "BRITISH". In Hebrew, man is "ish" so the whole word is British. The "h" is silent because Hebrews didn't pronounce h's, as in "Shem". Jews today still pronounce it "Sem". So we have "covenant man" or "covenant people". Also Dr. W. Holt Yates says "Saxons comes from the Sons of Isaac, by dropping the suffix 'I'". The second 'a' is dropped and 'x' is substituted for 'cs'. Much like "Xmas" (poor example) It doesn't come from the old high German word "sahs" (sword) like previously believed. And there is also plenty of evidence that the tribe of Dan (one of the lost ten) settled all over Europe's west coast, British Isles and up to Denmark. Denmark translated means Dan's Mark. The ironic thing is many of my friends call me John & my best friend is called Mark who is in the same spiritual prediciment. He finished his degree in philosophy some years back which he says made him a stronger christian. He also has written a book on poetry. He finds work hard to find at present in Maitland (Newcastle). so he is doing his Masters in Adult Education. I phoned him as soon as I saw your sight so you may hear from him soon. Has worked in Christian schools but was soon dissulutioned by them because of lack of quality in education & intolerance. Even wrote some of the christian school curriculums. A very interesting CNBC crossfire program last night. The guest: Jerry Fallwell, Tony Campolo. At the end of the show Bill Press was blasting fallwell for his statement " that the only way of salvation and the only way to heaven is through faith in Jesus" . Fallwell in turn asked Campolo to to respond with a simple yes or no to this statement. Campolo wormed and squirmed and would not answere. Falwell persisted. Campolo would not respond..... Tony Campolo was shown to be what I have always thought him to be........ A fraud....

Our Thailand missionary, Doug Ringhauser, was arrested in Thailand for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with others and for being a Christian. This is very serious! In Thailand, Christians are tortured and killed - especially for sharing the gospel with others. The Christian is made to dig their own graves before they are tortured and killed. Our church has sent Doug money hoping this will help him be released and for him to be able to come home again soon. The authorities have taken his visa and other papers. Please pray he will not be killed or tortured and will be able to come home again soon. 2. Please pray for my cat, Kitty. She was operated on a few weeks ago. The vet removed two tumors and one was cancerous. Our vet, Dr. Kenneth Patrick, will operate on Kitty again on Tuesday morning on 8/31/99 to remove more tissue around the area where the growth had been. Please pray the vet removes all of the infected areas and he growth will not come back again. I know God loves & heals animals, too. Your prayers are greatly appreciated! Yours is the only Christian website I have seen in all my years on the net and web that practices what the Disciples did in Athens: discourse, discussion, and "reasoning together" - sadly, every other "Christian" site I have visited condemns, contains diatrabes (and worse) against non-Christians - those, in my humble opinion, are not Christ-like at all... for Jesus discussed, reasoned, reached out (and reaches out) with compassion, patience, forbearance, and love; and your site exhibits this - Thank you...
