| The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want He makes me lie down in green pastures And He leads me beside the still waters Restoring my soul He guides me in paths of righteousness For His names Sake And even though I walk The valley of the shadow of death I fear no evil Thou art with me Thy and rod and thy staff They comfort me You prepare me a table In the presence of my enemies My head You've anointed with oil, My cups overflowing Surely goodness and loving kindness Shall follow me all the days of my life And I will dwell in the House of the Lord Forever and ever and ever........more The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want He makes me lie down in green pastures And He leads me beside the still waters Restoring my soul He guides me in paths of righteousness For His names Sake The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want |

| About the song: | |
Style: Piano Ballad in 3/4. Phil has taken a simple feel and made it interesting through rhythmic variation. The melody is memorable, and fits the lyrics like a glove. The bridge section soars with rich harmony and a sense of majestic beauty. Extra flavour is added with some fine volume control/envelope filter guitar work |
|
History: Recorded as part of Phil's project while taking time out from Optometry to study at Wesley Institute for the Arts. Taken from his album Praise is Waiting. |
