An upbeat, happy pop song about the real meaning of Christmas.
Little child - born in a manger
In a town filled with strangers
The shepherds and the wise men
Were the first to come to him

What the prophets had been saying
Through the ages people praying
They would have a Saviour
The one who would be king

So we all should remember this Christmas
When we sing our songs of joy and praise him
This little boy in a stable
Would one day die for all our sin

Jesus is the reason for the season
Jingle bells and Christmas trees
And gifts and cards -
A sign of joy throughout the world

The promise of an everlasting life
Has come to pass -
The light of god is here
To shine on all the world

This man - no longer a baby
Walked on earth - God's authority
Told us of God's kingdom
And people came to him

And with all his signs and wonders
His life changed ours forever
The poor man and the rich man
Were all the same to him

So we all should remember thisChristmas
When we sing our songs of joy and praise him
This little boy in a stable
Would one day die and rise again

Jesus is the reason for the season
Jingle bells and Christmas trees
And gifts and cards -
A sign of joy throughout the world

The promise of an everlasting life
Has come to pass -
The light of god is here
To shine on all the world
