Based on Ephesians 6.

We were looking for an "Armour of God" song for a gig at Campbelltown. Originally written by John a few years ago, we felt the need for an update. A friend suggested a "Keith Richards" guitar style and the rest is history.

Be Strong in the Lord, In His power
To stand against the foe,
Be strong in the Lord, take His armour,
To firmly make your stand,
Be strong in the Lord, for our struggle
Is not with flesh and blood,
Be strong in the Lord, against evil,
In the heavenly realms above,
Be strong in the Lord.

Stand firm, take the belt of truth,
And wrap it round your waist,
Stand firm with the breastplate
of righteousness in place,
Put on the shoes that are the gospel of peace,
Pray in the Spirit,
Let your prayers never cease.

Be Strong in the Lord, In His power
To stand against the foe,
Be strong in the Lord, take His armour,
To firmly make your stand,
Be strong in the Lord, for our struggle
Is not with flesh and blood,
Be strong in the Lord, against evil,
In the heavenly realms above,
Be strong in the Lord.

Stand firm, take the shield of faith,
No reason to be scared,
Stand firm, put the helmet of
salvation on your head,
Take up the sword of the Spirit, God's Word,
Pray in the Spirit and your prayers will be heard.

Be Strong in the Lord, In His power
To stand against the foe,
Be strong in the Lord, take His armour,
To firmly make your stand,
Be strong in the Lord, for our struggle
Is not with flesh and blood,
Be strong in the Lord, against evil,
In the heavenly realms above,
Be strong in the Lord.
Be Strong in the Lord....
