Want music that is Contemporary, Christian and evangelical?

Our aim is to provide churches with a musical team who can "fit in" to special services and events seamlessly. We exist to serve you, and will consult you in planning our set so that what happens enhances your meeting and fits "seamlessly".

We want our music and performance to be part of your service, to help you achieve your ministry goals, not just to be a "show" promoting us.

We can also come for a 2 or 3 day "mini-mission" or training event as follows:

  • Friday (or Monday): Scripture Seminar/Guest performance at school/s
  • Saturday am: Training Day for local music team members.
  • Saturday pm: Adult oriented concert or evangelistic event.
  • Sunday: Play at a local church.
If this sounds too good to be true, why not see what some satisfied ministers have to say.

Here are the answers to the most common questions ministers ask us:

  1. What sort of music do you play?
  2. How do you see music helping with evangelism?
  3. We've had some bad experiences with guest musicians. Why should we trust you?
  4. Are you loud?
  5. What are your theological and spiritual credentials?
  6. Do you do this for a living?
  7. How much do you charge?
  8. Do you speak too?

FAQ: Frequently asked questions:

What sort of music do you play?
The best description would be adult oriented pop/rock in the tradition of Australian live music. A similar contemporary band would be The Whitlams. Hallmarks of our music are a clear, comprehensible vocal sound and intelligent, provocative lyrics.
How do you see music helping with evangelism?
We see music as having a couple of roles:
  • To introduce a topic or an idea in a subtle way
  • To tell a story in a way the audience can relate to
  • To make an unfamiliar environment a bit more comfortable
  • To raise a question in peoples minds
  • To challenge or provoke thought or action
2 factors are important:
  • The choice of songs
  • Their placement in the "order of service"

Thats why we like to work with you in planning our set. This helps us to choose the best songs, and styles. We have been blessed with a very skilled and versatile group of musicians so we try to fit you, rather than being just an "add on" or "filler" for a service.
We've had some bad experiences with guest musicians.
Why should we trust you?
Here are some letters from places we have played before, including Figtree Anglican, Austinmer Anglican and Putney Anglican. We also offer a satisfaction guarantee. If you have a major problem with what we do for you, you don't have to pay us!
Are you loud?
We play at appropriate volume for your setting. The only time we will play loud is if you tell us to.
What are your theological and spiritual credentials?
There are a mixture of people in the band, all of evangelical persuasion. Ken Davis has been an active Bible Student for the last 20 years including Moore College Evening Lectures and studying Biblical Interpretation with Andrew Reid. Others have had various training in their own churches. While we are predominantly Anglican in church attendance, we are more interested in people trusting in Jesus and his word.
Do you do this for a living?
Ken Davis is self-employed in the music industry as a recording engineer and producer and web designer/promoter. He also conducts training seminars for music teams. That is as close as we come to "doing it for a living".
How much do you charge?
Our policy is that we will play for anyone who wants and needs us, regardless of their ability to pay. We will negotiate with you and give some guidelines. There are other ways you can help us financially as opposed to direct payment and we are always open to creative ways to help support our ministry.
Do you speak too?
We can if you want to. Ken has preached in church and done a lot of seminars in public health, music and IT. All of the team have given their testimonies. Ken suffers from chronic illness, so can speak on suffering and pain from personal experience.
