28 July 2009:
Reminder
Referees have brought to attention a number of issues that have presented difficulties in recent matches. To address these please note:
Home Team responsibilities:
1. Provision of nets, corner posts (4) and centre line posts (2). FIFA rules require these for a game to take place. Failure to have these could see a game abandoned and points awarded to the visitors.
2. Linemarking of fields. All clubs have a nominated home ground and it is their responsibility to ensure the correct markings of the ground (anyone unsure of dimensions can contact Graham Brisbane). With bad weather this can be required every few weeks. Where single teams share a ground, arrangements for should be discussed with their paired club.
3. Provision of flags for linesmen
Joint responsibilities:
1. Both teams are responsible for providing a linesman for the game.
2. Team sheets and money for referees should be provided to the referee before the game starts unless the referee has agreed otherwise. Team nominations should be on the sheet before the start of the match and not added to once the game has commenced.
3. Rules for swearing and blaspheming apply any time players are wearing team strip as this represents their participation in the ICSA. Players infringing this may receive a card and the appropriate penalty..
