Some Activities to promote Community Housing Awareness
- The role of the Inter-Church Housing Unit in offering an alternative model to renting or buying
- The Inter-Church Housing Unit as a model of partnership between government and the church, between parishes and individuals
- The responsibilities of Christians to act justly and not be satisfied with a charity approach to social and economic concerns
- The challenge of the Gospel to enhance the dignity of those who are in need and to challenge unjust structures

- Invite a member of the I.C.H.U. Board who is your Denominational representative to speak about the unit or to be available after the service to speak with people interested in the work
- Have a Poster and leaflets about the ICHU on pews for people to take home and have a look
- Include prayers in the service about people on the move in your community and throughout the world
- Recall times when Jesus was on the move and did not have a roof over his head
- Invite people to share thier own story of being on the move and link it to a passage of scripture
