the hints are:
on Friday 15th September after 8.00pm , Pastor Graham and his children stood at hte rear of Stadium Australia, where he had prayed many times - as he still does, but on this night there were 110,000 people inside, at lease 50,000 outside on the Plaza and Olympic Boulevard and 4.5 Billion People watching hte event on television.
"God bless the nations"
was the prayer of the local pastor.

Welcome to the Spring 2000 Diary of Ministry
Enduring Faith at Homebush Bay
FRIDAY 15th SEPTEMBER 2000

As I drove down Burrawang St towards the waters of Homebush Bay to pray on the eve of this great event which would be the focus of world attention, I noticed it was almost midnight. As I drove up to the barrier the beeps sounded on 2GB and when I arrived at the barrier, I said to myself:
"It's midnight (the beginning of)
Friday 15th September 2000"

After seven years of planning, hopes, dreams, disappointments and perseverance, I marked the occasion with great excitement,as I alighted from my car to pray beside the waters of Homebush Bay.

It was a clear night, as I prayed over the venues of Sydney Olympic Park beside the crystal clear waters...

After a long time of prayer I went home, sent out some emails and had a nights sleep...

In the afternoon I went to the Arc of Pines at the Bi Centennial Park, (beside the Olympic Park, Homebush Bay) to pray for security at the Games, as I had done four years earlier the day the Games commenced in Altanta...

that night my son, my daughter and myself caught the train from Auburn, changed at Lidcombe for the train to the Olympic Park station with our complementary opening night tickets admiting us to the public arears such as the Olympic Boulevard.
We went to a place the opposite end of the Stadium to the tower for the flame, where I fulfilled a commitment to prar for the Japanese couples whom I had conducted wedding blessings for in Sydney during the previous two or three years
and to pray for the persecuted church, especially in the Sudan.
My Opening night Prayer can be heard around Australia (subject to any technical difficulties)on the Homebush Bay Christian Ministries InfoLine 1902 260 511 (55 cents per min etc) on Menu 7.1)

We were able to bless the performers, as the walked briskly from the Athletic Centre to Stadium Australia...
"God bless you!" I shouted through the noise
Go bless the nations of the earth"
realising these kids were going to perform in front of 110,000 people inside Stadium Australia and an estimated 4.5 billion people world wide!
Wednesday 20th September 2000
The Lord has blessed us with beautiful summer weather for our tourists.

Talking to some Christians from America who were kindly distributing Bibles, they were impressed at our hospitality, our beautiful city.
A man from a southern state shared with me how he stays calm - he never rushes:
"If I missed something I there wasn't anything to miss"
was his reply to my question as how he stays so calm.
yes, we rush everywhere
"Did't miss this" we hear "You can't miss this" we are told
It was my privilege to give a ride to an official with a visiting team who ws waiting for a SOGOG car which never came...
out of town drivers who don't know Sydney, I was told.

My reply: "They didn't really focus on local recruitment. They took people who asked, who were often from outside Sydney or outside the state."
Another matter arose later in the night which was aggrevated by dismissive officials who ought to be depending upon the public for their survailance.
Since then I have spoken to people higher up who have provided me with contact numbers 24 hours a day for informed reply or action.
The 24 hours praise now has continious shifts. Praise of our God must always be at the centre of Christian ministry.
I give thanks to the Lord for the Hospitality of the Church of the Good Shepherd, the vision of the organisers and the talented musicians that have been raised up.
If you are i Parramatta why not call into the More Than Gold Tent in Prince Alfred Park, on the corner of Church Street and Victoria Street (on the northern side of the Parramatta River). The Parramatta Seventh Day Adventist Church are co ordinating the hospitality and many DA churches are helping. THey are doing a great job.
There is a van with a free health questionaire - calcalculating your health age.
Great Christian drama groups, YWAM teams, and Christian musicians.
free filtered water in the heat.
some healthy food on sale.
Thursday 21st September 2000
a little rain early morning which cleansed the air. a shower in the early hours of the morning well before daylight would be a blessing, and clean the air. clearing up for a lovely fine day.

I was able to talk to some officials on environmental issues. Helpful contacts made with some very responsible officials. This is very reassuring. We pray for all officiasls on alert to keep everything going smoothly.

Proverbs 21 is our daily reading
the Lord wants what is right and just
haughty eyes and a proud heart are sin
if we shut our ears to the cry of the poor our requests will not be heard.
I remember the verse which says
if we GIVE to the poor
we LEND to the Lord.

In a conversation about the lack if street signs in Auburn Local Government Area it came to mind that it is as if someone, or some people are holding back the development of the community to hold onto power.

An overseas visitor commented that a past leader of his nation was too weak to develop the country and another leader is too smart - in terms of his smartness in maintaining control and holding onto power.

This world needs leaders with a generous spirit, a love of God and a desire to help the people and to sek the Lord for keys to activate the development of the nation with a generous spirit to poorer nations.

It was my privilege to visit ministry in the Sydney CBD, Wesley Mission in Pitt St
and St Andrew's Anglican Cathedral in George Street. Both have great programmes. If you are in Sydney why not call in.

If you like jaz, there are concerts at St Andrew's at night, cost about $15.00

OUr American visitors are comparing Sydney to New York - a great complement to those who have worked so hard to establish Sydney as a world city.

May the Lord break the Spirit of rejection which has plagued Sydney.
The inadequacy is a lie from the spirits and that lie is broken
The Lord has a destany for Sydney.
Friday 22nd September

I received encouragement to get over rejection and hurt I received earlier in the week. Yes, even in a mission we can experience rejection and hurt.

the Lord brought to mind the scripture: "He was despised and rejected"
so I asked the Lord how He coped
it was more than the Father's love,
because o the cross Jesus cried "My God! My God! why have you forsaken me?
it was His yielding to the Father in the garden.
I want to develop this to help others

I was encouraged at the literature distribution and the boldness of the young Christians outside Baptist Central Church.

After seeing the city churches
I returned to my "chapel" at Homebush Bay. I am really believing for a way to negotiate for it to become a proper chaple with signs, coloured glass on the sides etc.
I prayed for the Lord's peace in the area.
It became special, peaceful.
Christians interested in comming to the chapel should email me (see bottom of page)

when trying to understand our struggles in life we need to understand three stages in the unfolding purposes of God:

Firstly, creation. In Genesis Chapter one and two we see that God created perfect man in the image of God in a perfect society. we have a sence of remnants of this condition and an awareness of our dynasty in our hearts
Secondly, the sin, followed by the judgement and the curse in Chapter 3. Paul in Romans 6 - 8 and Galations 5 writes about the flesh, which we could call manifestatons of the sinful man. the stuff stired up by temptation if we do not resist it, if we entertain it.
Thirdly, the age of grace. Salvation brough by Jesus Christ, the new man Paul writes about in Romans Chapter 6 to 8 and Galations 5 Christians struggle with these influences. confusion, defeat, ineffectiveness occurs when we can't, don't or feel unable to correctly categorise and in a Biblical way interpret what we see, hear, feel and experience in life. eg through Biblical teaching and spiritual discernment see what is sin and resist it. to know the scriptures and the weapons of our spiritual warefare Ephesians Chapter 6 verses 10 to 20. put on our spiritual armor. more later today a reminder of the url of this page http://sites.netscape.net/auburnconscien ce/spring2000diary

seed thoughts for today:
thank you for the overseas missionaries who have come to help us in our mission.
Revival begins in the church. We need your outside observations to the things we are blind to
if you are able to prayerfuly ans sensitivly reach our deep underlying needs and help us work through some of the real difficulties, the church will be revived and the flames of revival the Lord has ignited in some of our hearts will burn on. You will also go home with a new enthusiasn and new insight. May you also learn from our contribution
such things as helping a bloke when he is down,
battling on in the face of adversity

Last Sunday my text was:
Hebrews Chapter 12 verse 1 - 13
sepecially the phrase in verse one
throwing off everything that hinders

to be expounded
a thought provoking text for today:
Romans 12:9 - 21
sincere love
being devoted (loyal) (supportive) to one another
Jesus said to love one another.
On our More Than Gold Sunday twelve months ago, in a meeting room in the Sydney International Aquatic Centre, at Homebush Bay,
the Lord gave me the text in Revelation chapter two , especially verse 2:
You have lost your first love
Jesus told the church at Ephesis to
repent
do the things you did at first

The strength of Australian culture is a care for fellow man
the area needing ministry is a lack of love for God
underneith that there is a wounded spirit
to recover the answer is not to walk or run from the living God, but to love Hime
be thankful to Him for His creation
to pray for a fulfillment of Isaiah 61
and ask Him to remove the sword of abuse
that sword is causing pain
we have a people here adicted to pain relief lacking sword removers
furthermore, Australia needs champions who will take the sword from the hand of the abusers.
yesterday my son and I saw the Aboriginal display
I said to myself is it any wonder htat so many are drunk after hte abuses and degregation inflicted by the white population.
It is a miricle and testomony of the endurane of the Aboriginal peopl that htere are actually so many survivors, and so many achievers.
historically those who were abused, degraded in England came out and did it to the indigineous people
they earned respect by their endurance in the face of adversity. Attributes instilled into Australian society.
but what a mess needing a great washing away of the puss, the bleeding, the need for binding up of the broken hearted and an impartation of hte healing balm. call back for diary entry on the day
Monday 25th September 2000
I was at a prayer meeting when someone had a conviction:
Jesus said to be in the world,
but not of the world

but many Christians are of the world but not in the world

in otherwords, compromising and irrelevant. How sad
are we not to be the salt, the light?

God's word says to confess our sins to one another
sadly the protestan Church isn't teaching how to confess and forsake sin
or how to lead someone making a confession
its a case of helping your brother/sister to confess and FORSAKE the si you are praying he response of forgiveness in an attitude of accepting the sinner but hating the sin
more later...I have a day at work on Tuesday
Wednesday 27th September
During this week I have shared with christians distributing the Bible and tracts.t has been my privilege to share my faith.
We praise God the Premier said that people are free to peacefully protest in our democracy. When asked what he would say to the nations if there was any protest during the Games he said "I would say we are a robust democracy"

Well the control people said we couldn't hand out tracts on the streets and there are laws with heavy fines.
In other countries Christian die , are tortured or go to jail for preaching the gospel .. so are we serving SOCOG or Jesus Christ?
The Premier said we are a dmocracy. If we can as we should allow peaceful protests, then we can witness for Jesus Christ that He is the answer!!!!

if I can call upon the heavens to declare the glory of God,
if I am led to pray for sunshine, and the rain receeds,
then I can testify that Jesus Christ is Lord and He is the one who meets our real needs.
Jesus said to pray
give us this day our daily bread, fresh bread
living water is fresh and cleam

so we need todays fresh word for this hour and then print it and hand it out.

What is todays need?

What is todays message?

Its in my heart, its coming....
If you have had this experience, I would ask you to pray it through, with me please....
it has to be a sharp sword and
a fresh word...
In Christian Ministry it is so easy to draw off tradion or our accumulated knowledge, or our immagination, but ministry comes from the Lord. This ministry is all about meeting the Lord at Homebush Bay and being a light for Him
Thursday 28th - Friday 29th September 2000

A prayer in my chaple

the Lord burdened me to pray for captives of sin and adiction to be set free.
As I prayed, the Lord gave me a vision
of imparting forgiveness releasing captives
who are held captive by the devils snares
and unforgiveness

PRAISE THE LORD - being at the right place at the right time. there was a gridlocking of traffic...effectivly an inadvertant blockade of Toohies Lane,Lidcombe beside the main railway line at Lidcombe. The overflow buses (Bus 2000 contracted to the railway) were being directed to park on the left hand side on the lane while overflow taxies were directed to park on the right hand side.
When I arrived the simultaneous events had blocked the road, and traffic was banking up down the one way street and around the corner, with motorists beeping the car in front but no one dealing with the structural issue.

No one alerted the ORTA and RTA poeple o the other side of the railway line, and the Buss 2000 control officer was oblivious to the situation while the taxies were forbiden to use their radio to contact the base for administrative reasons.
well I said faith needs to be expressed in works (James Chapter 2 verses 14 to 25)
pastor to the rescue...
no one was moving
I asked two Police officers to assist they moved the overflow taxies on
then I spent two hours talking to officials of the buss, taxies, ORTA and the Auburn Council Traffic Department.

the Council needed to move the overflow Taxi rank accross the street to be on the same side as the main taxi rank and the buses.
the reply of the Traffic Department "I am going to do nothing"
the same department has been asked to provide extra turning space and Borea and John's Street, Lidcombe. there have been collisions between ORTA buses comming out of Borea Street (as they have to give way to cars in Johns Street)
but they are in convoy and under pressure to keep to timetable.
Auburn Council is the Local Council for Homebush Bay,
but possibly to keeep a low profile and avoid responsibility
they only promote themselves on Auburn Street signs.
please pray for Auburn Council and the staff, as thee are many matters in this community in need of attention and a hurting community who feel deeply betrayed by a Council that failed to deliver adequate hospitality infrustructure in time for the Year 2000 Games in Auburn - Home of the Olympics"
this might not be polite conversation, but it is a pressing prayer point for us here in Auburn.
---------------------------------------- Saturday 30th September 2000
God bless you on Jewish New Year the year of Creation 5761
God bless the state of Israel and peace be within the walls of Jerusalem
It is a special occason for Rev. Graham Nathan Levi Guy
a great Grandson of Rev. Solomon Levi, Minister of the Maitland Synogue a century ago.
to bless the Lord
and to pray for His people.
to pray for Isaiah 61 to be fulfilled and to proclaim Jesus is the Messiah
I thank God for my Jewish Grandmother
who loved the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength.
and impart to the nations,
the blesing she gave to me.

"God bless" ----------------------------------------
Sunday 1st October 2000
in humility,
let us give thanks to God!
It has been said that these have been the best games ever.
Praise God!
I believe this event has come a long way to breaking the spirit of rejection over Sydney.
Some American visitors said Sydney is like New York. I am so grateful because so many have worked so hard to establish Sydney among the great cities of the world.
We have been blessed with perfect summer weather in Spring.
The heavens above Homebush Bay have declared the glory of God.
The trees of Millennium Parklands clapped their hands
let us therefore humbly give thanks to almighty God,
for His blessings on our city and for blessing our international visitors. let us acknowledge that it is He who created the heavens and the earth it is He who gave the worlds athletes and each and everyone of us a dynasty.
The Lord has been good in preserving us and blessing us. His love has cast our fear.
So let us praise His name.
let us fulfill the words of the Preamble of our constitution
and humbly rely upon the blessing of almighty God.
It is my continuing prayer that the Lord will bless the Churches and ministries in the perimeter suburbs of Homebush Bay and out through Sydney, interstate and international.
It is my prayer that we will see a fulfilment of Isaiah 61 in these days.
and I ask you to give a special blessing as I pray from this centre of International media coverage tonight,
would you bless the poor man
would you feed a hungry man
would you minister life and freed to a man held captive by his addiction or affliction.
would you encourage the unemployed man

cause we are the Aussie battles who help a man get us when he is down.
but I also ask,
let us now be a people who seek a new vision
for a new day
that we bless those who are blessed
may we congratulate the winner
that we help a man along the way.
and let us challenge our nation to put the Lord Jesus Christ first
as we commit ourselves to seek the Lord for a real and relevant word.
as we commit ourselves to preparing the soil
digging up rocks and pulling out weeds
to plant the seeds and nourish the soil
as we share move ahead in intercession
as we take the land for our God
as we set the captives free
as we lead aussies to Christ
as we live out our faith
may we bless the
may Jesus Christ be praised
