Overcoming denial.

  • denial of others
  • discreditation
  • victimisation
  • self denial - protection from the pain of abuse

    a/ Renouncing abuse.

    feeling the pain of the abuse
    dealing with the source of the abuse,
    .... others focused on washing away the puss
    from the abrasion of the sword of abuse.
    .... perhaps we focused on relieving the pain of abuse
    (it is estimated by support workers
    80% of drug users have been sexually abused
    80% of suicide victims have been sexually abused
    80% of criminals have been sexually abused)

    Why?
    * the unbearable pain of abuse.
    * the loss of self esteem
    * the sword of abuse intrudes
    into our inner being,
    our soul
    our real self
    and sometimes masks our real feelings
    (which we try to block out)

    Prayer for the removal of the sword of abuse
    It is suggested that you seek a counsellor or accredited ministry to pray for you.
    If you are desperate and no one available
    and you are outside Australia,
    pray for the Lord to remove it
    and to grant His healing balm.
    Ask the Lord to stop any "bleeding" as it is removed.

    Repenting of inappropriate responses.

    A time to let go:

    discredited by his friends
    questioned the Lord
    shown the Lord
    agreed to forgive his faulse acusers
    the Lord granted restoration.)
