Dear Friends
My thanks to the missions committee and the church for recently recieved support cheque.
On our way back from Warburton we stayed a couple of days at Blackstone.
Phoebe (not her real name) was at church and told us that she was coming in to A.S.
that week and would do some dictionary work with us in town. We got the computer
from her house and took it to the man who was going to deal with the virus, but he
was unable to do so. We brought it back here but since it was a 286, we thought it might be
best to see if we could get something more up-to-date. Last week we saw a 486 with
Windows 95 advertised for $400 and we were able to get it. Thank you Lord
Last week Phoebe came here twice and did some dictionary work. However there are a
lot of things happening in her life. She made a recommitment to the Lord after seeing
"Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames" which was produced here for 4 nights. After that
she became an evangelist and took a lot of her relatives and acquaintences to the performances.
Praise God with us for His working in her life and continue to pray that His will
and purposes will be accomplished through her. At this point of time it's not clear if that will include a lot of dictionary work. We'll be doing a newsletter this
week with news of other aspects of our trip.
We would very much like to spend some time at Warakurna during our next trip out West
which will cover most of Sept and Oct. Please pray that there will be accommodation
there so that we can spend a couple of weeks there.

I was in Ireland during an exciting time of the referendum on the peace agreement. It was so wonderful
to see both 'Northern Ireland' and the 'Republic of Ireland' vote for peace. But
it was even more exciting to hear about the reconciliation taking place among Catholics & Protestants prior to that event.
Catholics & Protestants have been killing each other in Northern Ireland for the
last 30 years and today some of them are speaking in each other's churches! During
our training, we got to hear first hand from a couple of Catholic leaders who have
been intimately involved in such reconciliation.
Much prayer & humility & sacrifice have gone into this, but it's so heartening to
see that this is possible. If it can happen in a place like Northern Ireland, surely
it can happen elsewhere. God is able to do this and it definitely is the desire
of his heart as we see from Jesus' prayer in John 17.
