Jesus, the only Saviour

When I contemplate the sacrifice of Jesus I am amazed. Amazed at our God who continued to care for us even as we sinned and denied Him. My life would be hollow without my Saviour. I may never have known God the way I do today if Jesus had not died.

Jesus gave me the freedom to walk boldly into God's presence and fellowship with Him. Jesus destroyed all barriers that stood between God and me and made himself a bridge that through him I might know the Father. Knowing God and His son Jesus has opened up my life to supernatural intervention.

On so many occasions 'simple' miracles occur. These miracles show me that God is my God, that He looks out for me and answers all my calls. See, what would I do without Jesus? He is my only saviour.

Heathwoods on the move again

Today is Cameron Heathwoods last day with us at GCF. He leaves this week to travel to WA to take up a Pilot position with the Royal Flying Doctors Service. He begins an orientation course in Perth on the 19th. Suzi and Isaac will fly across on the 21st to meet Cam and together they will travel to Meekatharra, about 800km NE of Perth.

"We sense that GOd has asked us to take some time to consolidate and process all that has happened over the last years as we have been involved with YWAM and other ministry. Yet the provision of this job has shown us again that God is concerned with the details - the RFDS is a very worthwhile job and is inline with our heart motivations of being involved in the medical/mercy/relief and aid arena of aviation. It will be very interesting to see what remnant of the original Christian beginning, through the work of John Flynn, remains in the RFDS today.

There will be many changes and adjustments, but our main concern is to again find fellowship with brothers and sisters - please pray for us in this area, particularly for friends for Isaac.

Our Number two is due in late April, so you could pray for that too!

Thank you for your support and love over these last months since our return, this church is our home in Canberra."

Christians encouraged in Turkey

Christians in Gaziantep, Turkey, see God's grace in the bombing of a book stand on September 14. Public opinion has swung in favor of the small Christian community in Gaziantep. Calls for Scriptures are also coming in. Before the bomb went off, some 800 books - including 500 New Testaments - were sold during the first four days of the fair. This was more than were sold in the southeastern city the previous five years.
