COMING EVENTS
27 August to 30 August
One Heart for the Nation Conference with Rev Ed Silvoso of Harvest Evangelism, Argentina. A very humble and pleasant speaker with practical experience in prayer and evangelism who was here last year and we have invited him back. Please try and take some time off work so you can attend - those of us who attended last year recommend this conference!
Program and Registration Forms available on table.
Cost $150 (single), $280 (couple)
Take a prayer card to-day!
THE CHURCH CAMP IS BOOKED FOR THE LONG WEEKEND 4 - 7 OCTOBER! Start saving NOW!
Registrations are now being accepted. See the Tantons or the Warrens for details.
Costs are as follows:
- Adult: $81.00.
- Secondary/tertiary: $61.50.
- Primary age: $55.50.
- 3-5 years: $42.00.
- Under three: FREE.
- MAXIMUM FAMILY COST: $240.00
We have tried to enable families to come by setting a maximum cost with the help of Scripture Union. In addition we are hoping to be able to provide for a couple of people to come to assist with the children's programme to give parents and children's workers a chance to participate.
Graham, our new treasurer, will be happy to accept periodic payments for those who would find this an easier way to pay.
The emphasis is on Fun with only two teaching sessions in addition to worship and devotional times. We really enjoyed the games, indoor and outdoor as well as each other's company last year. There will be a concert on Saturday night so dust off your joke book or dancing shoes ready for entertainment.
Please see Beth or Rob 242 9250 or Bruce or Liz 242 9282 if you want to know more.
We are praying:-
- for more intimacy with the Lord
- for the Lord to give us increase of those being saved and being added to the Christian community.
- for God's protection of Palmerston District Primary School.
- for the elders as they seek the way ahead for Cornerstone and as Graham joins them.
- for the home groups to be friendly vehicles of growth and healing.
- for the red tape to be finalised so the Tabbaghs can pick up their new daughter, Laura.
- that Rospen is healed and responds well to therapy.
- for Trevor as he has cancer treatment, for healing and salvation
- Judy Marsh in the Philippines (working under the covering of "Servants").
- Early's in Vanuata
- for Nathan, Chris' nephew for healing and deliverance from drug addiction.
- Christian follow up work in Russia - see news extract
