Who was Jesus?
Jesus was the founder of the Christian faith, and is also considered to be one of the greatest prophets by Muslims. Because of this, Jesus is considered by many people to be the single most influential man on the course of history. He claimed to be the 'Messiah' who had been prophecied by the Jews thousands of earlier. Jesus also claimed to be God himself, come in human form. He taught about this value of brotherly love, generosity, sincerity, forgiveness, self-control, and kindness. He denounced hypocracy, selfishness, pride, hatred, rivalry, and racism. But his most radical and controversial teaching was that he is the only way by which anyone can be saved. Put to death by the Romans, he claimed that his death could pay for the sins of the whole of humanity.
