Asia-Pacific Region

Praise:

Praise God for the issuing of visas and the arrival in Taiwan of the Rev. Ekarin and Mrs. Khamsiang, missionaries of the Gospel Church of Thailand. They are settling into ministry to Thai Contract Workers and take up Chinese language learning.
Praise God for a successful APAC Regional Committee meeting in Bangkok in March. A new and challenging vision was birthed which will see the facilitation of emerging leaders in the region to reach the least reached. In July Church leaders will meet with National Youth Directors to begin planning for an "Emerging APAC Leaders Missions Conference" in the Philippines in 2009.

Prayer:

Pray for Roland and Nancy Lumawag who are finishing their role with the International Network for Thai Overseas (INTO) project and moving to the Philippines for Home Service.
Pray for a planned Asian missions conference for young emerging leaders in the Philippines, 2009. Short Term Mission Trips will target Least Reached areas. The AWF participates in planning this event. Gifts are welcome! Mark them 'Youth Philippines 2009'.
Pray that God will raise up a new Regional Coordinator for the APAC Region as Dr. Roger Lang will retire from this role at the AWF Quadrennial Conference in April 2008.
