Prayer Needs

July 2006

 

Japan

Praise:

  1. The JAC Annual Council was held and 4 new pastors (Mr. Ichimori, Mr. Fujii, Mr. and Mrs. Nagai) were appointed to ministry, on May 25 to 26, 2006.
  2. The JAST (Japan Alliance School of Theology) started the new school year with 3 new students (Mr. Honda, Mr. Kashima and Miss Hidaka) in April.
  3. The JAC will be sending Rev. Hamasaki as a short-term missionary to Brazil in July, hoping to evangelise the Japanese-Brazilians there.

Prayer:

  1. Rev. and Mrs. Oizumi retired from their over 40 years of ministry as Alliance pastors in March. Please pray that the Lord may send more pastors to His pasture.
  2. The Miyajima Deeper-Life Conference will be held in Hiroshima in August 22 to 23, 2006. Please pray that the conference may be blessed with many attendants.
  3. The JAC has sent 1,000 dollars for the relief of the earthquake disaster in Java and is asking the churches to raise money for Indonesia. May the Lord bless this work of love to the brethren.

Cambodia

Praise:

  1. The Lord has helped the Khmer Evangelical Church (CMA Cambodia) to continue to grow and develop, even though it does not have much other than faith.
  2. Recent opportunities for contact and ministry with Khmer speaking peoples in neighbouring countries.
  3. There was a good opportunity to visit CAMACOP church leaders in the Philippines to consider potential Bible School training models for Cambodia.

Prayer:

  1. Growth in developing helpful tools and resources to evaluate and address issues related to the health of local churches.
  2. Building projects in Phnom Penh for both churches and a National Ministry Centre.
  3. New opportunities for ministry to Khmer-speaking peoples in neighbouring countries.
  4. Wisdom to discern next steps in developing a Bible School ministry for the Khmer Evangelical Church.

India

Praise:

  1. Thank God for cooling rains we are receiving after very hot summer days.
  2. For God's goodness to field workers who work hard in spite of lack of regular financial support.
  3. For God's faithfulness to the leaders who are responsible to take decisions.

Prayer:

  1. Expansion of work in North India and the need for a faithful promoter.
  2. Pray for working pattern in the church set up as per the norms and conditions given to govern the churches.
  3. Pray for full-time workers to be more faithful in spreading the message of love in words and deeds (CD Projects).
