Whitsunday Christian Family holds many outreach services along side other churches in the area. In our area, ecumenical Carols by Candlelight are sung every year in November on the Airlie Beach foreshore. The local churches in Proserpine hold a Christmas Service every year which all attend. Many local Ministers and Congregations enter the local schools to teach Religious Education to the children.

The Whitsunday Christian Festival is another great time for community outreach to take place. Christians from South to Mackay and Sarina, and as far North as Townsville travel to the Whitsundays to celebrate Pentecost and the Day of Whitsunday. At this festival Christians are continually blessing non-christian people as the travelers reach out into the community, and people like YWAM (Youth With A Mission) conduct outreach Drama presentation in the streets.

Our church conducts outreach services at Bloomsbury (50 Km south of Proserpine) every two or three months. These services attract the locals who dont have the time to travel to Proserpine on Sundays. The local Baptist church also conducts many outreach services on the Whitsunday Islands for those who live and/or work on the islands. Island workers rarely find days off on Sundays or have little notice so cannot get to the mainland for church.
