Our worship services are an important part of our life together. Corporate worship ministers to the heart and feeds the hungry imagination with the good news of the kingdom. Corporate worship happens at a range of times and places.
Goodwin Village, Farrer:
- A communion service is held on Fridays at 9:30am, traditional in style but very relaxed and friendly.
Saturday Service at St George's Pearce:
- Known as Saturday@Five, this service broadly targets young adults and their parents, singles and older people.
- Beginning at 5:00pm and running for about 75 minutes, it facilitates a 'rolling on' approach that enables people to meet for worship and then move on to other activities – extra ministry, social, fellowship or mission oriented activities.
- Communion is celebrated fortnightly (on the Saturdays immediately preceeding the second and fourth Sundays of the month).
Sunday Services at St George's, Pearce:
- Holy Communion at 8:00am. This is a fairly 'traditional' style of service with hymn singing and strong lay involvement. There is usually a cuppa afterwards.
- At 10:00am we have a more contemporary style of service, with singing led by a music group and strong lay involvement. For the children creche facilities are available and, during term time, Noah's Gang (Sunday School for years K-6). There is always a cuppa afterwards and an opportunity for the ministry of prayer if you have a special need.
- At 2:00pm we have a service conducted in Dinka for our Sudanese community. Holy Communion is celebrated once a month.
In addition to these services there are many other times and situations where smaller groups and individuals meet for prayer, fellowship, planning, study, support and so on (many are outlined on our activities page). You are welcome to visit or join St George's if you are looking for a Christian community to belong to, or contact us if you would like to know more.
